Hello Everyone!

I have some canoe goodness on the way. Lots of fun events and trips on the horizon (line). We have trips, coaching, canoeing, first aid, breakfast, bras and polo. Something for everyone.

Canoe Big Breakfast - 28th Feb
We are having a "Big Breakfast" on the 28th of February to try raise some money for charity. So if you fancy having an amazing, cooked breakfast style brunch prepared for you to be enjoyed in the company of the best sports club in St Andrews join the event below or get in touch with Claire (cm286) for more details. It will only cost you £4, what a bargain!!!!

FIRST AID COURSE! 23-24th March 
Be prepared for anything, sign up to our 2 day REC Emergency first aid course running Wed 23 - Thurs 24th March, in the second week of the Easter Break. Hosted by the legendary George Fell this course fills you in on all the basics as well as outdoor and paddle sport specific injuries and situations you may run in to (and it's always good fun). Essential for some qualifications (Level 1, 4* Assessment etc), plus it's a  pretty damn useful skill to have under your belt for everyday life! To sign up, or any questions, email Stratts (ejs21). Places limited so first come first served! 
Last Calls For Level 1 keenness! 19th/20th and 26th/27th March
Be awesome at kayaking, and teaching others to kayak. This is a flat water training course so just basic skills required!

Canoe Across Scotland, looking for Leaders! 13th-16th and 21st-24th March
STAAG (St Andrews Adventure Group) are looking for a little help in running their annual trip. We usually have a few canoe club members join them to help with the canoeing aspect. So if you've done a bit of canoeing before and would like to join them on their amazing trip across the highlands email STAAG (staag@st-andrews.ac.uk) for more information or to sign up.

Love polo after SSS polo? Want to see your favourite people from the other Scottish Universities again? Then you NEED to go to this competition! Beginners' Trip, Saturday the 27th of Feb

1-day trip, to the Stanley; beginners, leaders and drivers wanted. I will be messaging people today as well. :)

Donate your bra for charity!!!

As you have already probably already heard, canoe are doing a bra collection in the hope of giving a pretty significant donation to charity 'Against Breast Cancer'. This is a little reminder for everyone to get raiding through that underwear and get your friends/flat mates/ family involved too. Keep your eye on the fb event for more info on when you can donate and to find out more about the charity we are supporting. Thank you for all the donations we have already received!!
