Pub Crawl Hangover Cure = Today's Weekly Email. - 10/10/12

Morning all.
Hope you're not too hungover (Sarah Mitchell, John Rothwell, Michael Fraser, Tim Cain...) from the pub crawl last night. Luckily no-one needed carrying home by the wonderful Tom... It was pretty epic, and ended nicely on the pier. Apologies that the northern lights didn't want to come out to play, but hey, it's their loss, they missed an epic night. Kudos to Tim for organising the evening.

Dates for your diary:

Friday 12th October - Polo Friendly with Dundee
One girl needed. No experience necessary, beginners very welcome! Meet at 16:30 at the boatshed. Email Camille (ch663) or chat to her at the pub.

Saturday 13th October - Potential Intermediate Trip
Dependent on rain and hangovers, possibility for an intermediate trip on Saturday with Dundee. Keep your ears open for more information.

Wednesday 17th October - Beginners' Skills at Grandtully
James and Emily are running an afternoon skills session next wednesday at Grandtully. Whether you've been on a river before or not it'll be a fun afternoon where you can practise basic skills and learn some new ones- sign up at the pub Thurs or Mon with a £5 deposit. 

The weekend of 21st/22nd October - 4* Whitewater training course
With Ian Vosser. Good if you can comfortably paddle grade 3 and can lead people down grade 2. Limited spaces, so contact Jean (js226) ASAP.

Wednesday 24th October - Tim Cain needs help
Looking for people willing to have their houses as a stop on a pre-sinners house crawl. Email Tim (trc3)

Open Water Swimming Safety
Andre informs us that the swimming club are doing an open water swim on Wednesday 17th. It'd be good if people want to go on a ~3km paddle and provide some form of safety for swimmers. Email Andre (ap69) for more information.

Upcoming Beginners' Training
Jean's going to organise a beginners' training sometime soon, watch this space. There will be a coach helping you to work on eddying and out, ferry gliding etc.

The First Naked Calendar Shoot of the Year
The official first big photo shoot of the year for the Naked Calendar will be taking place next Wednesday (17th October) at 2pm. Meet at the boatshed at 2pm where we can get the photo taken before our surf session on the sea as normal. Come along, don't be shy, it will be good fun!
