To all my fellow kayaking gods and goddesses. And Tim. I've been meaning to write this email for a while, but hope you haven't been missing me too much in the meantime. Just a few notes before the start of the new semester.
We have loads going on in Freshers' week from Bouncy Castles to Bonfires. As usual we are counting on your generosity to volunteer your time and make Freshers' week and Canoe Club better than ever! Please fill in this Doodle Poll if you can offer any time. Tuesday eve will be flyering/postering halls, Wednesday and Friday will be helping with the Surf Sessions (coaching, sorting out kit and freshers making tea etc), Friday eve will be helping/partying at the bonfire and possibly helping set up for Saints Saturday. Saturday is the big one, we need at least 8 people all day!
A note from the Gear Officers:
Some kit is still missing, and a document has been added to the website which has a list of missing kit. It would be good if people could check for mainly BAs in their cars/flats since the Alps trip.
A note from the Treasurer:
Hopefully everyone who still owes the club money will have received an email in the last week or so letting them know how much, as well as details on how to pay by bank transfer online. Ideally we would like to have as many people paid up before the start of the new academic year, so if you've yet to settle your debts with the club we would grateful if you could either do so online, or during pre-season/freshers would be super, thanks. If you aren't too sure how much you owe, or have any other queries about fees, feel free to email Emily onejs21@st-Andrews.ac.uk.
From the Sailing Club:
The Sailing Club have a few courses that they are offering to us as a way to bring the costs down. If you are interested in a Powerboat Course or VHF radio course, let James (jm2252) know. They will be held early Semester 1 and prices will depend on the total number and AU funding.
No cat photo or hidden messages, but I promise there will be some fun stuff in the weekly emailsnext semester.
Hope you've all had epic summers.
Love as always,
