Dependent on snow and water conditions this will either be an intermediate/advances trip or a day at Glenshee. Email Calum (cf344) if you're keen or come along to the pub tomorrow...
Open boat trip the Tummel, this Saturday

StAUCC Freestyle Competiition!
Tomorrow's pool session will be be the first ever StAUCC Freestyle comp! We've booked a double pool session and will be bringing down some tunes for you guys to show off you're skillz. It's open to absolutely anyone - if you don't know what freestyle is then this is the perfect opportunity to come down and learn! Will run from 7.45 to 9.45. There may even be some prizes...
Surf Session Today
Due to the fact that St Andrews closely resembles Svalbard, we will probably not be running the standard surf session today if people aren't too keen to get on the water. Instead we might invent some snow-related shenanigans and entertain ourselves that way...
Bake Sale - 8th Dec
We're looking for volunteers to help run a bake sale outside the library. To that end we need people who can bake us some sugary treats and help with selling stuff from the stall on the day. Sign up in the pub tomorrow or email Sarah (sed32). Lots of keen, happy volunteers required - also people to buy stuff on the day!
STAUCC Rubber Duck Race down the Kinnessburn!
On the Tuesday the 14th of December, the club is running a rubber duck race down the Kinnessburn from KFB to Greenside Place (next to Sarah's), all to raise money for the RNLI. A range of ducks will be on sale for between £1 and £3, please buy ducks and encourage your friends to do the same!
On that note, we need some keen volunteers to take sign-up sheets away with them, to sell to friends/ randoms in halls - we want to push this really hard and try to raise as much money as possible, as you never know when we're going to need the help of the RNLI...
Also, we're hoping to get some kids from Primary 4 at Canongate Primary School involved by partnering each kid with someone from the club who's bought a duck - let us know if you can be there on the day and help out by being a partner - cheers guys!
Last chance (probably) to get involved with festive banter - drop Andrew an email (aa542) if you're keen, we'll hopefully have a quick rehearsal or two next week then go big in the last week of term - will be good crack and a chance to raise our standing in the local community (if our singing isn't too bad, that is...)
Alas, we're going to have to postpone the STAUCC Naked Calendar for now, owing to a lack of time/ photos (not to mention the fact that it's far too cold for anyone to want to strip off, no matter how good the cause). Fear not though - plans are already afoot for a 2011/12 academic year calendar...
Further to last weeks email
, if you do any volunteering outside of the AU then email
Rona (firstname.lastname@example.org) as she would like to know! Copy Sarah (sed32) into the email too, please.
MASSIVE congratulations to everyone who went to BUCS White Water Racing - we came 5th in the country ahead of some top class uni clubs and posted a set of brilliant individual times along the way! Check out all the scores HERE! The bar has been set high, can we beat it next year? Of course we can...
Fairly epic email this week, stay keen and happy in these Arctic times. If you need to warm up then why not come along to General Conditioning - Mondays and Thursdays, 5pm, Sports Hall...!
