posted 17 Apr 2013, 05:24 by Canoe St Andrews
Afternoon everyone! I hope that this rubbish weather isn't getting you down too much. Hopefully summer will arrive soon....

Dates for your diary:
Tomorrow – Sea Session
Come down to the boat shed at 4pm tomorrow to have a lovely paddle on the sea.

Friday 26th April – Aqua Ball!
Tickets for the fabulous main event of semester 2, Aqua Ball, now on sale, contact Tim (trc3) if you want one and cannot make it to the pub on Thursday (where they will be on sale). The facebook event page is hereI'm going so why aren't you?

Sunday 28th April - SSS WWR!
Spaces filling up fast for the SSS WWR, the inaugural Scottish racing event organised by our very own Kirstie Macmillan. Even if you're not feeling overly confident in a kayak, it'll be a really fun day. Email Jon (jw200) to sign up or find out more.

17-20th May - Level 1 Coaching Course
Don't have exams on at this time? Bored while everyone else is in the library? Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre is running a level 1 coach training/assessment from Friday 17th - Monday 20th May at the Glen Lusset scout hall. Level 1 is a great way of not only helping others with their paddling but being able to critically assess your own strengths and weaknesses for your personal paddling. It is also done in a variety of craft so is always a lot of fun experimenting with strange boats!!! Contact Andre (ap69) for more information or to sign up!
Want to hear a joke about a canoe? No? Oh, that’s oarkward…

In other news… I hate it when I'm making a milkshake and boys just show up in my yard
Sea Paddle with Guides
Please could anyone interested in coming out as a Leader or Helper with the guides on the 17th May sign up at the link below so we can establish if enough people are willing to allow this date to be confirmed. It will take place early evening and should be good fun as the Guides are a laugh. Any Questions e-mail gkw2
Sarah’s weekly escapades: Sarah is currently still getting over flu so has had a pretty boring week. She did go to James’ birthday party though and managed to remember the whole night, wasn’t sick everywhere (mentioning no names) and didn’t need to be carried home. She can’t promise that this classiness will last…
And finally, the cat picture of the week! I want no complaints over it being too cute.
I also know that it's not actually a picture but I didn't want to say that it was something else and then get it wrong. Maybe a gif? Who knows...
Keep up to date with us as well by friending us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, and subscribing to us on YouTube. We've had a lot of new blog posts written lately - why not have a read of some of them!

Much canoe love,
Sarah xx
