Happy Burns Night! Or afternoon as the case may be. Hope you are all having an exciting inter-semester break and are getting keen for all the fun stuff we are getting planned for next semester. Stuff just like this: Did you know that haggis tastes great in a cheese-toastie? I did...
You are probably aware that the club will be planting muchos trees in mid-February as part of the club's outreach program and we need volunteers for the dates below! Uptake has been pretty slow so far due to exams so we need people to get in touch and sign up so we can book some transport. The dates are:
14th Feb - 1pm - 2.30pm help Waid Academy kids plant trees
15th Feb - 12noon - dark - main event
Another date (tbc) - help Kingsbarns primary school kids plant trees
Let Sarah (sed32) know which you want to do...
BUCS Slalom 18th/19th February
It is fun, it is on a sexy new white water course, there is a party, there is food, there is a bit of kayaking, there is no Trent flu and there is a hotel. 'Nuff said. I'm finalising this year's team so I can book hotel rooms. Please drop an email to Kirstie (km732) if you want to come and haven't already signed up!
Slalom Training with Steve 8th February
The fabulous Steve MacDonald (of pre-season fame) is once again offering a free coaching session, ideal for those going to BUCS Slalom. It will be a Wednesday afternoon at Grandtully, leaving St Andrews about 1pm. This guy knows his stuff and it's a great opportunity to freshen up your basic skills! Kirstie (km732) to bag a place!
For those still around there will be a wee polo session going on in the harbour tomorrow and Friday afternoons. Meet at the shed at 2pm...
Jamie loves haggis and cheese toasties
