BASE (blind activities support events) is a charity which supports visually-impaired people (VIPs) to enjoy leisure activities. Their work ranges from monthly activity days to large sponsored events. Every week a few intrepid adventurers from the club head to the heated waters of East Sands Leisure Centre. Acting as guides for an awesome group of VIPs, they enjoy a leisurely swim and gym session.

Naked Calendar

Each year a thing of beauty is created by STAUCC. The naked calendar features stunning scenery, imaginative set ups and raises money for a selected charity.

This year we raised £320 for the Nepal School Trust and £110 for Save the Children!

In the 2015-2016 academic year STAUCC participated in other charitable ventures. These included a bra collection for the charity 'Against Breast Cancer', a beach clean and clean-up of the Kinnessburn. The club also cleared of an area of Cambo estate whilst putting up bird and bat boxes.
